DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

Amanda Brunete es maestra forjadora. En su taller se realizan trabajos de reproducción, interpretación y restauración del Patrimonio Histórico Cultural donde tiene amplia experiencia trabajando directamente con organismos oficiales así como con otras empresas de restauración.Los procesos y técnicas que realiza son los siguientes:
– Valoración y diagnóstico del objeto, revisión de remaches, abrazaderas, uniones de rejería a suelo o pared con crisol de plomo.
– Limpieza y reposición de piezas rotas o inexistentes, sea en obra, con fragua portátil, o en taller.
– Fabricación de remaches o roblones y montaje con contrabuterola.
– Batido de chapa con martillo en caso de restauración de crestería.
– Reproducción de flores, macollas de plomo con molde de silicona roja.Las herramientas utilizadas son las propias de una herrería, tal como martillos, punzones, compases, tajaderas, limas, horquillas, gatos de presión etc. también se utilizan herramientas eléctricas como radiales, taladros, compresores, plegadora, cizalla etc. Se utilizan como forma de mejora sobre métodos tradicionales al poder cortar, agujerear y desbastar en un tiempo razonable. No así en los procesos de restauración, donde se siguen fielmente los procesos originales.Para Amanda, es importante el respeto con el que se trata las piezas que se tocan y el respeto por los herreros que las ejecutaron.

APRENDIZAJE

En 1992, después de cursar sus estudios en la escuela de arte comienza su aprendizaje con los maestros herreros Jesús Morales Marcos 1992/1993 y Ángel y Elías de Andrés 1994/1999.
En los talleres de estos maestros es donde adquiere y desarrolla las técnicas tradicionales de la fragua como son: afilado, estirado, laminado, recalcado, cortado o astillado y rajado o entallado, así como el uso y fabricación de útiles de medición y diseño de horquillas específicas para trabajar en frío.

Restauración del Banco de España (Segovia), Restauración balconadas y rejería del Palacio de Las Monas (Segovia), Restauración de las puertas de entrada al Palacio de La Granja de San Ildefonso (Segovia), Limpieza, consolidación y reposición de piezas inexistentes en la Puerta del Claustro de la Catedral de Segovia.Reposición de rejería del Palacio de María Pita (La Coruña), Tiradores de la Cajonera de la Catedral de Murcia. Diferentes trabajos de interpretación de patrimonio y restauración para el Ayuntamiento de Segovia.
