DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA
Artesanos Leoneses es un taller familiar lleno de trabajo, ilusión e investigaciones personales en varias facetas artísticas, con encargos de grandes cantidades de piezas únicas, tanto para su restauración como de nueva creación, para clientes tanto nacionales como extranjeros.Hay que destacar la presencia del Maestro Epigmenio Llamazares Gutiérrez, que a los 10 años comenzó a trabajar en un oficio que ha ejercido toda su vida. A los 17 años fue campeón de España en la artesanía de la madera, compitiendo con 60 campeones de otras provincias.Dicho maestro ha transmitido sus conocimientos, técnicas y descubrimientos a sus 4 hijos, enseñándoles ebanistería, carpintería, forja, talla, marquetería, pintura, escultura, vidriera, modelado, torno, enrejillado, tejido, tapizado, pátinas, acabados, etc., llegando finalmente a especializarles en el mundo de la restauración de obras de arte y en la ejecución de todo tipo de piezas. Su forma de entender su trabajo es que, para llegar a ser un buen restaurador, hay que dominar muchos oficios; que pasen miles de piezas de todo tipo por las manos del restaurador; contar con materiales de época y antiguos para poder restaurar las piezas sin que éstas pierdan valor; y, por último, y no menos importante, dominar la técnica y los secretos de las pátinas y acabados.El trabajo de estos artesanos se caracteriza por utilizar técnicas y herramientas tradicionales en su mayoría olvidadas, bien sea por comodidad o por economía de tiempo. Artesanos Leonenses las mantienen vivas, ya que el resultado y la calidad que buscan sólo pueden alcanzarlos haciendo uso de ellas.En el taller tienen una gran reserva de materiales antiguos y preciosos para las restauraciones, acumulados durante 60 años de trabajo y hoy en día imposibles de conseguir y encontrar.
APRENDIZAJE
Esta empresa comenzó con Epigmenio Llamazares Gutiérrez (Padre y Maestro), el cual, a la edad de 7 años, viendo sus aptitudes en el mundo del Arte, fue enviado a León a la Escuela de Artes y Oficios. Ganó numerosos concursos, trabajó en talleres desde los 14 a los 20 años y después montó su propio taller. Con el paso de los años su mente y sus manos crearon, restauraron y transformaron miles de piezas de todo tipo. El trabajo y la constancia le convertirían en un Gran Maestro. Finalmente transmitió sus conocimientos a sus 4 hijos, enseñándoles técnicas de dibujo, pintura, talla, torno etc.A día de hoy sus hijos están orgullosos de poder tenerle a su lado, pidiéndole en ocasiones consejo y asesoramiento. Les enseñó a trabajar los materiales nobles y bellos como son la madera, la piedra, la forja, el vidrio, la enea, el junco, el latón, el bronce, etc. y sus técnicas, secretos, pátinas y acabados.
TRABAJOS DESTACADOS
A lo largo de los años han realizado trabajos de todo tipo y envergadura, y tanto de construcción como de restauración: despachos, comedores, dormitorios, cocinas, baños, capillas, carpinterías (ventanas, puertas, miradores, portones, vigas, etc), tallas, artesonados, escaleras, esculturas, óleos, etc.Destacando:
– La construcción de unas escaleras helicoidales.
– Restauración de puertas góticas de Catedral de León.
– Restauración de Retablo de la Santísima Trinidad de Sahagún.
– Construcción de reloj en madera, forja y vidrio con funcionamiento a 2 caras (5m de diámetro).
– Restauración del Retablo de Juara (caído y dado por perdido por el Obispado).
– Construcción de muelle de madera.
– Construcción de puertas especiales que por medio del viento producen música.
– Palacio de Riolago de Babia (Construcción y restauración de mobiliario).
– Construcción para el obispado de 300 mesas de altar.
– Construcción de Retablos.
