DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

Los Mosaicos Hidráulicos Barragán se fabrican como antaño, de manera artesanal, utilizando materiales de la más alta calidad. Esto permite que sean resistentes al paso del tiempo y que sea posible adaptar los diseños al gusto del cliente.Los materiales empleados son básicamente cemento, arena, agua, marmolina y pigmentos.Los útiles, herramientas y maquinaria necesarias para la fabricación son varios, siendo el principal un molde compuesto de base-cinturón-tapón, donde se vierten los materiales empleados. Este molde debe estar perfectamente limpio y ser suficientemente resistente para soportar la presión que ejerce la prensa hidráulica. Además se utilizan trepas, cazos, felpudos y brochas.El proceso comienza con la colocación de la trepa con el diseño elegido y se vierten sobre los diversos compartimentos de la misma las mezclas coloreadas que van a generar el motivo, a continuación se esparce un poco de mortero secante y se rellena el molde con el resto del mortero para proceder a prensarlo. Una vez desmoldado, pasa a la fase de fraguado, donde estará sumergido en agua unos 20 días.
