DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

Forjas Andrés es una empresa fundada hace más de 50 años por el herrero Alberto Andrés González, cuyos inicios estuvieron ligados a la antigua fábrica de Echevarría en Begoña (Aceros Heva). En la actualidad, son sus hijos Raúl e Ignacio quienes siguen con este negocio familiar, que se ha convertido en uno de los pocos talleres que en Vizcaya mantienen viva la técnica tradicional de la forja del hierro en caliente y sus distintos tratamientos térmicos.Situados siempre en el entorno de Bilbao, sus trabajos han estado relacionados tanto con las distintas actividades industriales de la ciudad como con las del entorno rural. Así, en este taller se han realizado trabajos destinados al sector naval, al siderúrgico, al de la edificación (mobiliario, cercas, barandillas, pérgolas,…) y al agrario (herramientas).En la actualidad, en lo que al sector de la edificación se refiere, compatibilizan los trabajos de forja artística (tanto de obra nueva como en restauración) con la herrería de obra (carpintería metálica y estructuras), incluyendo trabajos como puertas, ventanas, rejas, portones, y balcones.A través de los años han trabajado para mantener la calidad de los trabajos y dar a sus clientes el mejor servicio posible.
