DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

Raúl Gimeno Marco, en el marco de su labor en la empresa PROYES, se ha especializado en diferentes oficios relacionados con la arquitectura tradicional y el uso materiales como la tierra, el yeso, la cal o la madera.Su tenacidad y empeño a la hora desarrollar su oficio le han permitido dominar muy diversas técnicas, como la construcción de muros de adobe o tapia, cubiertas de teja o forjados de madera. Esto le permite hoy afrontar obras integrales en las que vayan a aplicarse sistemas constructivos tradicionales, ya que son éstos a los que ha dedicado su ejercicio profesional.Raúl Gimeno domina la formulación y granulometría de la cal, lo que le permite reconocer qué tipo de áridos o tierras ha de utilizar para realizar los distintos trabajos. Así, emplea la cal como material principal en morteros para la colocación de ladrillos, pavimentos o tejas, como conglomerante en la construcción de tapias, en revestimientos (interiores y exteriores), así como en la fase de acabados, ya sea en forma de lechadas, pinturas o aplicándola como agua de cal para la ejecución de pátinas, variando en cada caso la formulación según las necesidades, de mezclas más gruesas a más finas, con más o menos agua, etc.También ejecuta con maestría revestimientos de yeso, pudiendo desarrollar su trabajo tanto sobre mampostería como en construcciones de tapia.Entiende que la arquitectura tradicional va ligada no sólo a los materiales tradicionales, sino también a sus herramientas, por lo que sigue utilizando este tipo de utensilios en sus trabajos, incluso fabricando el tapial de madera cuando se requiere o realizando él mismo los adobes necesarios cuando se trata de recuperar un muro con esta técnica.A la hora de abastecerse de material para los trabajos de restauración, en la medida de lo posible opta por reutilizar aquellos del propio edificio que no estén dañados y puedan aprovecharse aún, como puede ser el caso de ladrillos o mampuestos, con la intención de que todo el conjunto quede integrado de una forma más respetuosa con la construcción existente.

APRENDIZAJE

Ha recibido formación a través de numerosos cursos impartidos por Laurent Coquemont y ha participado en talleres en Lugo, Ores y Castellón, entre otros.
TRABAJOS DESTACADOS
Ha intervenido en numerosos edificios de propiedad privada y en otros más monumentales, entre los que destacan la iglesia de La Gata (Teruel), la ermita de San Clemente de Moyuela (Teruel) o la ermita de La Gata (Teruel).
