DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

Su pasión por esta profesión nace de la tradición, de la propia historia de su empresa, que cuenta con más de 75 años de experiencia, de generaciones dedicadas al diseño y fabricación de azulejos sevillanos pintados a mano. La tradición de esta profesión, cuyos orígenes se remontan al originario barrio de Triana, marca una directriz fundamental: estos azulejos son, y deben ser, pintados a mano, si se busca calidad, originalidad y tradición.En su línea de producción no interviene ninguna maquinaria, pues siempre han querido guardar con orgullo y respeto la profesión que su familia inició en 1939. Reciben a curiosos y a clientes en sus instalaciones para que conozcan de primera mano cómo se trabaja el auténtico azulejo hecho a mano sevillano.De aquí nace el compromiso de ofrecer no sólo un amplio catálogo de azulejos, sino de poder crear junto con el cliente diseños personalizados, únicos e irrepetibles.Combinan la utilización de versátiles técnicas (cuerda seca, sobre vidrio, bajo baño, etc…) y una amplia gama de esmaltes de fabricación propia, sin olvidar que el resultado final de su trabajo no sería posible sin la aportación del principal valor del que disponen: el equipo humano que se encuentra detrás de cada creación (azulejos artesanales, zócalos, cenefas, murales, número y letras…)

Cerámica Artística Campos es fundada en 1939 por el maestro D. Antonio Martín Bermudo, «Campitos», quien se inició profesionalmente en la por entonces prestigiosa firma ‘Cerámica Hermanos González’ (Casa González) de gran actividad en la época, realizando entre otros trabajos, gran parte de la azulejería de la Plaza de España de Sevilla y del Parque de María Luisa. Tras esta etapa, junto con D. Antonio Kiernan (afamado ceramista de la época) funda Cerámica Santa Ana. Finalizada la guerra en 1939, funda el Sevilla un nuevo taller Cerámica «Campos».José Martín Alarcón, hijo de Campitos, desde muy temprana edad colabora en la empresa de su padre, heredó el oficio y cursó estudios de bellas artes, poniéndose más tarde al frente de la empresa y permitiendo que su padre se dedicara a su pasión: la pintura. En la actualidad, son los hijos de José Martín Alarcón quienes regentan la empresa, constituyendo así la tercera generación de una familia dedicada al noble oficio de la Cerámica y el Azulejo, conservando de esta manera la tradición artesana.

Han pasado por los talleres una serie de trabajadores y colaboradores con los que hemos compartido experiencias y han salido reforzados en sus conocimientos y capacidades para la elaboración de cerámica artesana.
