DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

El Tallercito está ubicado en la bella localidad de Estepona (Málaga), donde la pintora Aida Domínguez Navarro desarrolla sus creaciones e investiga diferentes técnicas. El oficio de la cerámica tradicional, unido a técnicas contemporáneas de escultura y pintura, estudiadas en Bellas Artes, ofrece infinidad de posibilidades y un estilo propio que distingue sus creaciones. El Tallercito se ha especializado en azulejería tradicional, trabajando especialmente el embellecimiento arquitectónico tanto de interiores como de exteriores de edificios públicos y particulares. Las técnicas utilizadas son tan antiguas como la cuerda seca, mayólica, lustres, relieve y modelado.La cuerda seca es una técnica conocida desde el Califato Omeya, y plenamente desarrollada en Al-Andalus en el siglo X, en la que la separación de los esmaltes se realiza a base de líneas con una mezcla de aceite, manganeso y fundente que evita que haya mezcla de colores (hidro-soluble) durante la cocción. Se reconoce por quedar el color en relieve separado por una especie de cordón fino entre un color y otro a modo de incisión. Se cuece a baja temperatura (985ºC). En esta técnica ha introducido varias innovaciones, como, por ejemplo, utilizar esmaltes propios de otras técnicas.La técnica de la mayólica consiste en bañar el bizcocho con un esmalte blanco, opaco y brillante, compuesto de sílice, cenizas sódicas calcinadas, plomo y estaño. Con la adición de los óxidos colorantes, se aplican los diseños a esta cerámica. Se cuece a baja temperatura (985ºC).El modelado en relieve consiste en construir una superficie lisa con la arcilla a base de planchas hechas con una laminadora, a partir de la cual se modela un dibujo en relieve con herramientas y palillos de modelar, espátula, esponja etc. Una vez terminada la pieza, que puede ser de grandes dimensiones, se corta en pequeños trozos y se bizcocha. Una vez bizcochado se monta el mural y se decora con los óxidos. A continuación, se esmaltan uno a uno y, una vez terminado todo el proceso, se monta como un mural de azulejos. Se cuece a alta temperatura (1.250ºC).

APRENDIZAJE

Las técnicas de pintura, dibujo y escultura las aprendió en las facultades de Bellas Artes de Granada y Bolonia (Italia). Las técnicas cerámicas tradicionales las aprendió con Natividad Navarro, Carmen Osuna y Joaquín Vidal.

DOCENCIA

Su actividad docente se ha centrado en talleres para niños y cursos de FPO a discapacitados. Tiene como proyecto a medio plazo dar cursos especializados de azulejería arquitectónica con técnicas como la cuerda seca.
