APRENDIZAJE

Se inició en el oficio muy joven, trabajando junto a un maestro ebanista que había realizado una serie de muebles para su familia. De este primer maestro aprendió el uso de la maquinaria manual de la carpintería, así como el proceso de lijado. Fue más tarde, en Granada, donde un maestro tallista le enseñó a trabajar con gubias y otras herramientas de más precisión.
TRABAJOS DESTACADOS
Restaurante “El Regajo”: construcción completa, desde los pilares a la cubierta, que se hizo en dos fases. En la primera, sobre planta rectangular y tejado a cuatro aguas, al estar situada en el campo lejos de puntos de luz, toda la estructura fue completada de forma manual. En la segunda fase se ejecutó una nueva estructura a cuatro aguas con cerchas de cuchillo españolas, toda en madera de castaño.La restauración de la ‘Botica de Agero’, de 1880, donada por su propietaria al pueblo de Béjar y expuesta en el museo del Convento de San Francisco.Otros trabajos de restauración, como el retablo del siglo XVI de Junciana (Ávila), imágenes religiosas de diferentes épocas y estilos, y mobiliario antiguo: sillerías, mesas o arcas, entre otros.Trabajos realizados con la técnica del dorado (aparejado con yeso mate y cola de conejo, técnica milenaria ya utilizada por los egipcios) y realización de policromías a base de tierras naturales.
