DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

Rufino, Ramón y Daniel Tofé son artesanos del hierro dedicados a la elaboración de forja artística, tanto clásica como de vanguardia.Trabajan sus obras de forma manual. Cada pieza está realizada como lo hacían los antiguos forjadores, artesanalmente, aunque ayudados por la tecnología más actual. Todos los trabajos están hechos a partir de un diseño estudiado personalmente para cada cliente, adaptando el arte del hierro a sus necesidades y gusto particular, dando así a cada obra un carácter único y especial.El centro del taller son la fragua, el yunque y los martillos, donde, a base del calor del fuego y de golpes, se da forma artesanalmente a cada una de las piezas, amoldando cada hierro a su sitio en el conjunto final.Abarcan varios campos, realizando desde puertas, verjas, barandillas y todo tipo de mobiliario y accesorios (lámparas, percheros, cabeceros de cama…), hasta obras de mayor envergadura, como el reloj del Ayuntamiento de Laguardia o las esculturas colocadas en la cabecera de la puerta de alguna bodega.

Por tradición familiar. Sus maestros fueron su padre, Alejandro Tofé, y su tío.
