DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA ACTIVIDAD REALIZADA

 En este taller llevan a cabo trabajos de restauración, rehabilitación y reparación de elementos de carpintería histórica (carpintería de armar: cubiertas, forjados, estructuras), cerramientos de madera (puertas y ventanas), corredores, hórreos y paneras. Elaboran también mobiliario tradicional (sillas, arcas, arcones, mesas, etc.) y obra nueva de todo tipo de elementos de carpintería en general (puertas, ventanas, porches, pisos, armarios, etc).En La Escuela  reproducen los modelos de la carpintería tradicional de Asturias y de las regiones vecinas, utilizando principalmente materiales autóctonos, pero también maderas de explotaciones cercanas controladas. Del mismo modo, adaptan esos modelos a los actuales usos y modos de vida, tratando de no perder la esencia y la belleza de las formas.Julio César desarrolla su actividad como carpintero desde hace más de 15 años. Además de ello es licenciado en Historia, miembro de la Asociación de Amigos del Hórreo y co-autor de los libros Arquitectura popular en Gozón. De casas, hórreos y paneras. TRABAJOS DESTACADOS
Entre sus trabajos, destacan la restauración de hórreo en Pillarno en La Buría; el  traslado de un hórreo para Carlos Lorenzana en El Escaplero (Las Regueras); la restauración de la panera de Enrique Luis de Sanzabornín (Gozón); porches de viviendas en Candás; el traslado y restauración del hórreo en El Pedregal (Lorenzana, Carreño); y la cubierta de la panera en San Pedro (Bárcena del Monasterio, Tineo).
