A la temprana edad de 14 años empezó a trabajar en este oficio como aprendiz, recibiendo consejo e indicaciones de maestros artesanos. Poco a poco fue dominando las diferentes técnicas hasta alcanzar el grado de especialización que le permitió desarrollar su oficio.
