APRENDIZAJE

Tuvo un inicio modesto, como aprendiz en los cursos ofrecidos por el Ayuntamiento de Olite, impartidos por un maestro artesano de la cantería. Continuó formándose en la cantería durante tres años hasta que, siendo tal su inquietud por ella, quiso hacer de ésta su oficio. Solicitando una excedencia, dejó entonces su trabajo como funcionario del gobierno de Navarra para iniciar junto con Agustina Rodríguez el proyecto del ‘Taller de Cantería Jaurrieta’ en Olite. En la actualidad, continúan en este pequeño taller con un trabajo que el propio artesano califica como «muy duro pero gratificante, en un momento en que cada vez es más difícil estar en el mundo de los artesanos».
